My Story
Welcome to Scent To Impress. My name is Vicky and I'm delighted you have found my site!
I discovered and fell in love with Scentsy during a particularly difficult time in 2015. I’d had my second daughter in Autumn 2014 and had been enjoying my maternity leave pretty much without a care in the world. Having the time to be at home to settle my eldest daughter into primary school had been wonderful, but I was starting to get lonely and with friends working, my social life had totally dried up. In fact, I was quite looking forward to returning to work and interacting with adults again!
I first discovered Scentsy at my daughter’s local nursery fayre, where I was intrigued by a welcoming and amazing smell (not the usual whiff that hits when you walk in!). Intrigued, I went to the stall and found that it was something called Scentsy that I’d never heard of.
In the past, I had loved nothing more than relaxing on an evening, with a scented candle burning somewhere in the house.... that was, until I had children! All of a sudden, that most simple of pleasures became something of a hazard. What if my child got burned? What if I forgot about a burning candle (through the sleep deprivation from little ones!)?
For 3 years I had no candles and no welcoming scents awaited my guests when they paid me a visit. Finding out more about the products and how they worked, I was amazed that there was a SAFE alternative to my candles of old. I borrowed a warmer, read about joining the team (if I’m honest I only joined to bag the brilliant kit) and decided that’s what I would do. I’ve always been pretty good at selling things either online or in person, so I thought I’d give it a go for one month and see what happened. That was the best decision I could have made!
A couple of friends offered to have a party for me, and before I knew it, my first month was over. I’d met lots of new people (who have now become friends, and some even consultants on my team!). I had got out of the house for some much needed adult time, and got a real buzz from sharing this product with people and seeing how much they loved it. I had also achieved the Shooting Star Award and hit Certified Consultant Level and for this received extra commission, a fabulous charm bracelet, bead and certificate from Scenty!
Within 4 months of joining, I had won a 5* holiday to Cyprus, paid for Christmas for my girls and family, has meant we can afford a few extra luxuries (ok...maybe a few handbags too), and more imoportantly, Scentsy helped me gain back my confidence (something I think as a mother you can lose after a new baby and having been out of work for a while doing “mummy” things). Fast forward 2.5 years and I'm now a Director with Scentsy, and have over 250 fabulous consultants in my group. I've enjoyed travelling the world with Scentsy to places like NEW YORK, ROME, IDAHO, and am soon off on a 7 day Mediterranean Cruise (as well as other UK destinations like Edinburgh, Glasgow, Belfast and Liverpool).My passport is seeing more action since joining Scentsy than in the previous 10 years.
My travels have also inspired me to broaden my horizons and share this amazing system and family with as many people as I can...if I can do it...so can you! Imagine not only being able to want commission off products you already love, but gaining in so many more ways, including the friendships that Scentsy brings to the table! As well as my UK team, I've just opened up opportunities to grow my team in France, New Zealand and Ireland! So if you think scentsy could be for - please do get in touch for a chat :-)
The Scentsy system really is amazing, and I now have warmers dotted around my home, warming and emitting the most amazing fragrances. My family all converted from candles too. After all, what's not to love? No soot, no marks on the wall, no flame to cause a potential fire, more cost effective than a candle, and best of all, safe for children and pets!
We have many different ways to share and sell our fabulous products – if parties aren’t your thing, you have your website (free for 3 months), basket parties and social media too!
I've found a whole new set of friends, met some wonderful and inspiring people along the way, increased my own confidence and self belief and found a product and company that I just love.
